Photographer #195: Tony Kelly

Tony Kelly, 1975, Ireland, lives in Barcelona and works all over the world. He makes sexually charged photographes that are so bright in colour that they resemble candies that might either be sweet or sour. His carreer started as a papparazzo and later as a warzone photographer. Now Tony is all into the fashion photography, although most of the work evolves around nude women. Tony likes to shock a little, but it needs to be a shock with a smile. Humour is one of the key points in Kelly's photography. As a photographer that prefers working on location as to a closed studio it is no wonder he is slightly in love with the plastic, sunny and "cultureless" Los Angeles. The following images come from Toy Story, El Pais Miss World and Hollywood.

Photographer #180: Tony D'Orio

Tony D'Orio, 1953, USA, is a commercial and portrait photographer. His interest in photographing characters started while he was shooting the streets of Chicago and the people he found there. On those streets he developed a love affair with the human face. He has shot various advertisement campaigns for brands like Altoids. Tony's photography is witty, clever and filled with humour. The following images come from his portfolio.

Photographer #053: Tony Fouhse

Tony Fouhse, Canada, 1954, might be an editorial and commercial photographer, it's his personal work that is getting international attention. Since 2007 Fouhse has focused on drug addicts in his hometown Ottawa. In 2007 he made the series USER night, in 2008 USER Women and in 2009 USER Men. Even though the portrayed are evidently addicts, the portraits show people with strength and a drive for survival. Below are shot from User Men and USER Night.

On various trips Fouhse photographs what he sees. This results in series such as Christmas in the Delta.
