Meet the Holbrook family...a fun-loving bunch of beautiful people! They are the recipients of my giveaway from last Christmas. We ventured down to the beach to get some classic, Southern California family portraits. The entire family are naturals in front of the lens...they made my job easy! Michal Giedrojc, 1980, is an up and coming photographer from Poland. His work has recently been published in Eyemazing Magazine. His series Dreams are manipulated portraits in which Michal puts his subjects in unreal environments. The people become misplaced and alienated which thus creates a new dimension with new storylines. Michal let's his imagination and dreams inspire him. The following images come from the series Dreams, Visions and City.

Sonia Sieff, 1979, is a French photographer. Her work mainly focuses on fashion, beauty and portrait photography. She has been published in various magazines and worked with several celebrities such as Natalie Portman on photography shoots. Her photographs are stylish, aesthetic and sensual. Sonia has also been a still photographer for various French movies. The following images come from her Fashion, Beauty, Portrait and Nude portfolio's.

Photographer #120: Mona Kuhn

Mona Kuhn, Brazil, 1969, released her latest book Native in 2010. She lives in Los Angeles, but for this book she went back to her native country Brazil photographing the human body and natural landscapes. Throughout her career her work has been concentrated on the human body. In 2004 her first monograph Photographs came out and only three years later she released Evidence. The images from Evidence were all taken in France. The following images come from Native and the portfolios: France 2002-2008 and B&W 1996-2002.

Photographer #119: Paul Kenny

Paul Kenny, Great-Britain, 1951, makes photographs that are bright in color and mysterious. One has to look twice before noticing what the viewer is looking at. Kenny gathers materials from the beach and takes them to his studio. He arranges the "insignificant things" like dried seawater, plastic fragments, seaweed and beer can bottoms to get his final result. The following images come from the series Mull Works, Seaworks 3 and Seaworks 1.
